Our beautiful seaside town

Why our hometown of Tenby is a must visit

The jewel in the crown of the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Tenby is a must visit destination for any lover of the seaside.

With a selection of glorious sandy beaches, an array of fantastic bars and restaurants, boutique shops, and plenty of other unique little spots to explore, Tenby has everything you can need to relax in the ocean air.

Visiting the beach

If you’re a beach baby, then you will be spoiled for choice when you come to Tenby.

Tenby is home to three great beaches for you to make the most of, including the beautiful North Beach, which is just yards from Ocean House.

Guests of Ocean House will also be treated to breath-taking views of the picturesque Harbour (one of the most ’Instagrammed’ places in Wales), Castle Beach, with its stunning views of St Catherine’s Island, or South Beach – which is ideal for anyone looking to enjoy water sports.

Outside of the town, there are numerous great places to enjoy along the coast – we can highly recommend Barafundle Bay, or Broad Haven South and its accompanying lilyponds.

The Pembrokeshire Coast is also home to many memorable destinations, including the Green Bridge of Wales, the Huntsman’s Leap, St Govan’s Chapel, Stack Rocks and Church Door Cove.

Eating in Tenby

For those looking for good food, then Tenby has plenty of high quality restaurants on offer.

Whether you’re looking for authentic pizzas at Top Joe’s, seafood at On George’s, a hearty grill at the Fat Seagull or great Asian food at Umi, there really is something to suit every palate.

There are also plenty of great pubs and bars for you to make the most of – although we’re not sure any of them can beat our terrace for views!

Tenby’s History

Any history buffs in the group will be enamoured by the rich story that our town has to tell.

From future king Henry Tudor taking refuge in the town before fleeing to France as a prince, to visits from the likes of Oliver Cromwell and General Eisenhower, the town’s history is intrinsically entwined with that of Britain’s.

The historical town walls and castle are well worth checking out during your time with us and we also think the noteworthy castle in Pembroke is a must see!

Regardless of what you want from a holiday in Tenby, there is something for everyone and Ocean House is the perfect place to come and explore it all.
